At Camp Wingra, our mission is to create meaningful summer adventures built around outdoor exploration, skill-building, and community. Each day is designed to help campers grow in confidence while enjoying the beauty of Madison’s lakes.
We focus on personalized paddling and fishing instruction in small groups, ensuring every camper receives encouragement and hands-on guidance. Whether casting a line for the first time or learning proper paddling techniques, campers build skills in a safe, supportive, and fun environment.
In addition to time on the water paddling or fishing, campers also participate in team-building activities, arts and crafts, nature exploration, and environmental education that foster curiosity and respect for the outdoors. These experiences help campers form strong friendships, develop independence, and gain a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
Our camp culture is built on connection—campers create friendships, support one another, and gain confidence as they navigate new experiences together. With enthusiastic, well-trained counselors guiding every step, campers enjoy an environment where curiosity is encouraged, individuality is celebrated, and personal growth happens naturally.
From laughter-filled lake days to moments of accomplishment on the water, Camp Wingra offers a summer full of adventure, learning, and memories that last long after camp ends.
