Join us for a 6-week Winter Camp to explore Lake Wingra when it is frozen!

Discover the magic of winter at Lake Wingra! Our 3-hour outdoor sessions for kids ages 6–12 combines exploration, hands-on activities, and creative play. Track wildlife in the snow, build shelters, study trees and ice, and create art inspired by nature. With games, movement, and stories, campers stay active, curious, and connected to the unique winter landscapes of Madison.

Winter camps will meet on Fridays at Wingra Boats (824 Knickerbocker St, Madison, WI) from 9 am-12 pm. Our instructors are returning Camp Wingra counselors with their BAs in environmental sciences and have extensive experience working with kids.

This is a drop-off OUTdoor program, which means we will be outdoors in the Wisconsin winter! Please plan to have your child prepared and ready to spend the entire 3 hours outdoors. We will provide hot drinks, ways to warm up, and in the event of extreme weather conditions, we do have an indoor heated area that we can utilize.
Grades K-2 (ages 5-7)
and Grades 3-6 (ages 8-12)
Fridays, Feb 6- March 13th
9:00 am- 12:00 pm
$220 - for a 6-week session
We will be doing a mixed-age camp this winter, with some of the activities done together as a group and some separately.

My name is Patrick and I have been a summer camp counselor for the past 3 years. I was born and raised in Madison and have a lot of appreciation for the city and love serving its youth and others through education. I recently graduated from Edgewood College with a degree in Environmental Studies. I am very interested in educating as it is something that I know has a strong impact on our community as a city and on a global scale. When I am not working I love to spend time outdoors biking, skiing, and spending time with friends and family.
